I had the pleasure of playing a gig with Taildragger at the Waterhole Lounge last night. I dig his music - the old school Chicago Blues, a rare find nowadays even in Chicago.
昨夜はたまたま、テールドラッガー氏のライブにギターで雇って頂いた。氏の音楽は、僕の一番好きな伝統的なシカゴブルースだ。きょうびは、シカゴですらそのサウンドは珍しい。
In my humble opinion, he is one of the last lines of defense along with a handful of blues legends of his generation still alive and well. They carry the torch from the heyday of traditional Chicago Blues.
私見では、テールドラッガー氏は、一握りの彼の同世代の伝説的なプレーヤー達と並び、全盛期の伝統的なシカゴブルースを固持する、いわば最後の砦だ。
Strong stage presence is something that these star performers have in common. Says Mr Dragger, “I did not take your woman. You gave her to me!” Really?
これらのスターに共通するのは、ステージでの存在感が非常に強いことだ。ドラッガー氏いわく、“俺はアンタの女を横取りしたんじゃ無い。お前が俺に彼女をくれたんだろ”と。ホントか？
